When choosing the correct size for your window blinds, it is important to measure accurately to ensure a perfect fit. For inside mount installation, the width of the blind should be the same as the width of the window, and the height should match the length of the window. For example, if your window measures 23 inches in width by 72 inches in length, the blind width should be 23 inches and the blind height should be 72 inches.

If you are opting for an outside mount, it is recommended to add at least 4 inches to both the width and height of the window for proper coverage. In this case, the blind width would be 23 inches + 4 inches, and the blind height would be 72 inches + 4 inches.

Please note that the fabric width of the shade will be 0.8 inches shorter than the specified size. If your window height varies significantly from the existing blind height, it is advisable to choose a custom size for the best fit.
